Stephanie T. Mayor

STEPHANIE MAYOR joined Black Gropper as an associate lawyer following her articling term with the firm.

Stephanie received her law degree from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies and English from Queen's University. As a law student, she worked as Pro Bono Coordinator for the Victoria chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada and as a research assistant for a law professor. In addition, she volunteered with the University Association of Women and the Law, the University of Victoria Anti-Discrimination Committee, and the Together Against Poverty Society.

Stephanie has held summer positions with the Residential Tenancy Office, West Coast Legal Education Action Fund, and Pivot Legal Society.

As an articling student, Stephanie conducted legal research and prepared for arbitration hearings and tribunal proceedings. She also completed a three month secondment with a firm specializing in public interest, constitutional and appellate litigation where she drafted memorandums of law, pleadings and arguments for a variety of court levels.
